Honley FC have a very active and productive committee that meet regularly during the course of the season.

Co-Chairmen
Tim Hirst
Richard Bray

Tim has been Chairman of the Club for over 20 years. He provides strong, efficient and effective leadership of the Club. He heads the Committee in making decisions for the benefit of the whole Club, and ensures that it is run efficiently in an administrative, financial and social capacity to support the on-field activities.

Richard was appointed Co-Chairman in 2014 to assist Tim in his duties. He is a prominent member at the Club, having previously being manager of the first team. He was pivotal in helping the Club achieve Charter Standard Status as well as being the driving force behind them gaining admittance to the West Riding County Amateur League.

Michael is essentially the principal administrator for the Club. He is the main point of contact for people within and outside the Club on just about every aspect of its activities, and carries out or delegates all the administrative duties that enable the club and its members to function effectively. Michael has been Secretary for the Club since 2015.

The Commitee generally undertake all decision making on behalf of the Club, and are effectively responsible for its day-to-day operation. Its activities can broadly be broken down into several key areas:

Sponsorship & Fundraising

The Committee assume responsibility for fundraising throughout the season and close-season, maximising the potential revenue streams into the Club.

They are also responsible for attracting sponsorship from local companies to help fund and support general Club activities or expenses. They aim to manage the relationship between the Club and its sponsors to ensure that all sponsors are serviced to a high level and are retained on a long term basis.

Social Events

The Community also assume responsibility for arranging all of the Club's social functions. Each year they establish a broad social calendar for the season and end of season to provide a range of appropriate entertainment for all Club members in order to maintain club morale and to enhance the appeal of the Club to the wider community.

Community Engagement

One of the key roles of the Committee is to promote the Club's image and to establish and maintain strong links with the local community.

They liaise with local groups and organisations with a view to integrating the Club into the village, endearing it to its inhabitants and generating a ‘community feel’ around the Club. This entails assisting local groups and organisations with the set-up and running of community events such as the Honley Feast and Christmas Light Switch-On.
